David Fankhauser, most often called ‘Dave’ – because who can pronounce his Swiss-German last name? – is a 20 year Tellico Plains resident who moved here to begin a new adventure in this beautiful mountain community with three generations of his family.
Dave has been active in Tellico Plains’ development from the very first day by purchasing and rehabbing old, worn-out buildings to good-as -new. Since Day One, he’s been intentional on how best to balance the beauty of this rural area while planning for sensible growth; and most of all, how to keep Tellico Plains a home for all, preserving its core of family values and serenity.
Dave listens. Generations of both locals and newcomers want Tellico Plains to remain a place where everyone waves to each other. Whether you’re “kin” or not, you are still “family;” it’s the relationships that count.
As a Real Estate agent, Dave understands that helping buyers and sellers conduct an honest transaction is one of the most important transitions of life. He knows construction, development, land use, and also how bulldozers and track-hoes can create beauty in harmony with the environment. He knows how to listen to what your dream is too.
Dave and his wife Sandy live close to family, very quietly on a small farm that’s practically a natural park. Before arriving in Tellico Plains, they lived in big cities like Chicago, Columbus, Miami and Orlando. Prior to moving to Tennessee, climbing the corporate ladder, chasing and creating money was their life. Finding Tellico Plains truly was a God-thing; it’s probably a story much like yours, and it’s a miracle to be here!
